Here are some of the FAQ.
1 ) HOW DO I GO ABOUT GETTING TATTOOED BY YOU?
Under my Submissions form there is a short questionnaire which will guide you to getting tattooed.
2 ) IF I SUBMIT AN IDEA DOES THAT MEAN I WILL EVENTUALLY GET TATTOOED BY YOU?
The odds are good, unless it just simply isn’t my style and I don’t feel comfortable with it. There are pieces that I may recommend someone stronger at that style than I.
3 ) IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO TO INCREASE MY CHANCES OF GETTING TATTOOED BY YOU?
To increase your chances for getting tattooed, simply fill out my forms – be ready to set up an appointment with a deposit and have a really fun idea along the lines of my style and interest.
4 ) HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE PER HOUR
I charge $150 per hour, and take a $150 deposit which goes toward the last hour of the last session.
5 ) HOW MUCH OF A DEPOSIT DO YOU REQUIRE?
$150. Which can be put down in person or over the phone with a Credit Card.
6 ) IS THERE A STYLE OF TATTOOING THAT YOU PREFER TO DO OVER OTHERS?
I prefer to do New School/Illustrative/Cartoon work. It allows for more freedom and fun for myself – and I believe it’s my strong suit.
7 ) ARE THERE ANY TATTOO STYLES THAT YOU WON’T DO?
Celtic & Tribal & Traditional are things I don’t feel comfortable designing.
8 ) HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN TATTOOING?
I have been tattooing full-time/professionally since 2007.
9 ) WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
Fable Tattoo Gallery
3202 W. Cary St. Richmond, Va. 23221
10 ) WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS?
The studio hours are 12-8pm everyday. I am typically there Saturday – Tuesday. I have consult hours between 7-8pm when time allows. I always suggest calling before arriving for consult hours to insure that I will be available and that I will have time. There are occasions where my appointment may run into my normal consult hours or that I may be out of town at a tattoo convention.
11 ) HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE YOU TO DO A TATTOO?
The length of time required to do a tattoo depends on the amount of detail involved, the overall size, the placement, and how well the client sits. It is nearly impossible to estimate the exact number of hours required to complete a piece.
12 ) DO YOU TAKE ON APPRENTICES?
I believe the amount of apprentices in the industry is way more than there should be. I believe that artists need to be more selective in their apprentices in order to produce a quality addition to the industry.
13 ) WHAT TYPE OF INKS DO YOU USE?
Fusion and Eternal ink.
14 ) WHAT TYPE OF MACHINES DO YOU USE?
Tatsoul Valor rotary machines and Neotat rotaries. I have tried most of the rotary machines out there, and love to experiment with new advances.
15 ) HAVE YOU HAD ANY FORMAL TRAINING?
I received my Bachelors in Psychology from SUNY Binghamton. I don’t have any formal art training, I have always loved art though – and strive to learn more.
16) WHY DO WE HAVE TO PUT A DEPOSIT DOWN?
The deposit (non-refundable), which is put down during the consult, is to secure the appointment spot, and will go toward the last hour of the tattoo. In cases of no-show, or insufficient rescheduling notice (less than 48 hours) the deposit is forfeit completely.
17) HOW DO I GET TATTOOED BY YOU AT A CONVENTION/SHOW?
Typically I will post on social media, ie Facebook, Instagram, and on this site when I have upcoming travel dates. Simply submit your idea normally and mention the show you would like to get tattooed. The deposit can be done in person or through Paypal (firstname.lastname@example.org).
